Becka Leathers of Ironman scores a technical fall over Steffanie Hampton of Michigan Women's Wrestling at 124 pounds at the Girls Folkstyle Nationals in the Cadet division.

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – Kayla Miracle of Indiana and Becka Leathers of Oklahoma repeated as Cadet champions at the USA Wrestling Girls Folkstyle National Championships at Freede Center on the campus of Oklahoma City University on Friday.

Miracle, who competes for Hoosier Elite, tore through the field at 115 pounds, finishing off with a dominant 25-10 technical fall over Alicia Regalado in the finals.

Miracle was a double champion at the 2011 USA Wrestling Girls Folkstyle Nationals, winning both the Cadet and Junior division titles. Miracle is halfway to achieving that feat again, as she is also entered as a Junior on Saturday.

In a battle of returning champions, Leathers defeated Cassy Herkelman of Iowa in the finals at 124 pounds, 7-5. Leathers, who wrestles for the Ironman club, was the 124-pound champion last year while Herkelman, who competes for Team Iowa, was the 115-pound champion last year.

At 154 pounds, Alyssa LaFrancis of West Covina/No Mercy defeated returning champion Virginia Burkett of Team Wyoming in the finals by major decision, 11-1. Burkett was a Folkstyle Cadet national champion last year at 134 pounds. LaFrancis last won a Girls Folkstyle Nationals title in 2009 competing in the youth divisions.

• Crystalyn Crouch of Missouri at 143 pounds
• Kaitlyn Hill (Michigan Women`s Wrestling) at 172 pounds

Competition continues Saturday with competition in the Junior division. This year, the event is held alongside the ASICS University Women’s Freestyle Nationals, which is a qualifying event for the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team Trials.
