NYU Langone Medical Center named official sponsor and medical consultant for USA Wrestling

NEW YORK, NY, March 5, 2012 – USA Wrestling, the national governing body for amateur wrestling in the United States, announced today that the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at NYU Langone Medical Center is an official sponsor and medical consultant, through September 2014. USA Wrestling will have access to NYU Langone’s orthopaedic experts, including sports medicine specialists for medical consultation, treatment and access to a network of providers as appropriate for USA Wrestling athletes around the country – and during select domestic and international wrestling competitions.

The NYU Langone dedicated sports medicine program incorporates clinical, educational, and investigational aspects of athletic injuries to treat athletes playing at the high school, college and professional levels, as well as recreational athletes from every age group.
