LARWIN NAMED OUTSTANDING WRESTLER AT WESTERN GRECO-ROMAN JUNIORS 

Luke Larwin of Bend, Ore. was named Outstanding Wrestler at the Western Junior Regional Greco-Roman Championships , held in Las Vegas, Nev., April 19. Larwin pinned 1999 Junior National champion Josh McLay of Hastings, Minn. in 2:45 in the gold-medal match at 165 pounds. McLay was also the defending Western Regional Champions.

The only athlete to win the Western Juniors for the second straight year was Nate Gallick of Tucson, Ariz., who claimed the 114.5 pound title. Gallick pinned Quincey Osborn of Minnesota in the finals in 3:47.
