2012 Salt Lake Slam sold out for this weekend in Heber City, Utah

The third event of the 2011-2012 Folkstyle Tour of America, the Salt Lake Slam, is sold out with 900 entrants from 14 states. Due to the event selling out in advance, there will be no onsite registration.

This is the 5th year of the Salt Lake Slam, and the second year in a row it has sold out. With 900 online entries, the 2012 Salt Lake Slam is the largest event in the Folkstyle Tour of America, breaking the 2011 Dominate in the Dells record of 858 entries.
The Salt Lake Slam takes place this weekend, Friday, January 6th and Saturday, January 7th at the Wasatch County Events Center in Heber City, Utah. Weigh-ins and competition for True Beginners is on Friday, with weigh-ins for the Elite division also taking place on Friday, and competition for the Elite division on Saturday.
As with all of the events in the Folkstyle Tour of America, wrestlers in the elite division born between 1998 and 2003 have the opportunity to earn points for the U.S. Future Olympian Rankings.

Both the Dominate in the Dells and the ASICS/USAW Folkstyle Nationals sold out in 2011. Registration for all of these events is open. USA Wrestling does not charge for adjusting weight classes, even at weigh-ins, so wrestlers are encouraged to sign up as early as possible to guarantee their spot.
