Many of the nation’s top athletes will be on display at the Men’s Freestyle Olympic Trials Qualifier, set for the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nev., Dec. 2-3.

The top three athletes in each of the seven weight classes who haven’t already qualified will earn a spot in the field at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team Trials in Iowa City, Iowa, April 22-23.

With 21 spots up for grabs in the U.S. Olympic Team Trials at this event, the level of competition is expected to be outstanding.

Deadline for online registration is 1:00 p.m. (Central Standard Time), Tuesday, November 29. The entry fee for those registering online is $40 per athlete.

Onsite registration is available, but late entries will be assessed an additional $100 fee.

Competition will be in the seven Olympic weight classes. Please note that there is a 2kg weight allowance for this tournament

There will not be a U.S. Open in freestyle wrestling during the 2012 year. Therefore, this event becomes one of the most important qualifying events for the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team Trials in freestyle.

The event is not restricted only to those who have not qualified.

What makes the event even more exciting for wrestling fans is that it will be showcased alongside one of the nation’s most respected college wrestling tournaments, the 30th annual Cliff Keen Las Vegas Collegiate Wrestling Invitational.
