A USA Wrestling media guide has been prepared for the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico, and has posted as a pdf file.

The guide has biographies on all 15 U.S. athletes competing in the event, as well as the coaching staffs for the three Olympic styles of wrestling.

The U.S. men’s freestyle team features Nick Simmons (55kg), Teyon Ware (66kg), Jordan Burroughs (74kg), Jake Herbert (84kg), Jake Varner (96kg) and Tervel Dlagnev (120kg).

The Greco-Roman team features Joe Betterman (60kg), Glenn Garrison (66kg), Ben Provisor (74kg), Cheney Haight (84kg), Pete Gounaridis (96kg) and Timothy Taylor (120kg).

The women’s freestyle team features Clarissa Chun (48kg), Helen Maroulis (55kg) and Elena Pirozhkova (63kg).

There is also a list of participants, a preview of the competition, as well as a history section with information on past U.S. champions at the Pan American Games.

The Pan American Games is held every four years, and features the top athletes in a variety of Olympic and Pan American sports from North, Central and South America.

The Greco-Roman competition is on October 20 and 21. The women’s freestyle competition is on October 22. The men’s freestyle competition is on October 23 and 24.
