InterMatWrestle.com, one of the premier sources for wrestling news, has once again partnered with 360 Sports and Events to put together the 2011 InterMat JJ Classic, a marquee preseason high school wrestling event in Rochester, Minn.

The second annual InterMat JJ Classic will take place this Saturday, Oct. 22, at the UCR Regional Sports Center on the campus of Rochester Community and Technical College (RCTC). 

Wrestling fans should be familiar with the RCTC campus, the site of the USA Wrestling Cadet National Dual Championships in 2009 and 2010. Another renowned high school dual championships, The Clash, is also held in the same venue each winter, along many other wrestling competitions throughout the year.

This is a USA Wrestling-sanctioned event, and is expected to feature numerous talented high school and middle school wrestlers from many states.

The fast-approaching tournament, which is open to wrestlers in grades 7-12, promises to be loaded with national talent. Wrestlers will compete in 14 weight classes ranging from 106 pounds to 285 pounds.

The field is filling up fast with some of the top wrestlers from across the nation, including numerous national champions, state champions, and state placewinners. Organizers are expecting this to be one the premier early-season tournaments in the nation.

The InterMat JJ Classic benefits a greater cause. The tournament was developed in honor of Justin Joseph (JJ) Kukowski, an avid sports fan who passed away on March 12, 2007 after his courageous battle with brain cancer. Proceeds from the Intermat JJ Classic will go toward the Justin Kukowski Center for Spiritual and Physical Healing, a treatment center for patients battling cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.

The InterMat JJ Classic will also be a great tuneup opportunity for competitors planning on competing in the 2011 USA Wrestling Preseason Nationals in Cedar Falls, Iowa, the following weekend.
