First of 20 videos launches today on TeamUSA.org/BritainBound COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - This September, 2008 Olympic freestyle wrestling champion Henry Cejudo was among seven U.S. Olympic and Paralympic champions took the trip of a lifetime, touring Great Britain's 2012 Games venues and iconic destinations as well as spreading Olympism to young Britons at various school visits through Team USA: Britain Bound, presented by Samsung. Starting today, their incredible journeys will be shared online in the first of 20 videos in the Team USA: Britain Bound video web series available on TeamUSA.org/BritainBound. Today's video is a trailer of the series, providing a brief snapshot of each athlete's journey in an exciting three minute episode. Cejudo and the rest of the all-star cast of athletes returned from their trips inspired by the people, culture and hospitality of the host country of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and more determined than ever to return as part of Team USA next summer. In his journey, Cejudo toured Old Trafford, Manchester United's stadium and 2012 Olympic soccer venue, visited iconic Beatles attractions in Liverpool and wrestled a Viking in the ancient city of York. He also spoke to more than 100 young people and led a wrestling clinic at SCORE, a Team USA Training Site which will be used by U.S. athletes leading up to and during the London Games. The next episode posted on the website, on Monday, Oct. 17, will feature 2008 Olympic all-around gymnastics champion Nastia Liukin on her adventures in London. Liukin announced Saturday that she's back in the gym and training for the 2012 Games. Her target return to competition is next spring's CoverGirl Classic. Moving forward, the videos will spotlight one or two of the Britain Bound athletes in a more up-close-and-personal look at their unique experience. Fans can expect new videos to be released each Monday. A first-of-its kind interactive program, Team USA: Britain Bound, presented by Samsung, was founded on a collaboration between the U.S. Olympic Committee and VisitBritain, the national tourism board for Great Britain, and is supported by USOC partners Samsung and Hilton HHonors. With VisitBritain acting as host and tour guide, the following Team USA athletes visited hand-selected locations based on their experiences and interests in England, Scotland and Wales. Below is a preview of the other athletes' adventures: Jeremy Campbell, 2008 Paralympic discus and pentathlon champion Campbell toured Edinburgh Castle, took a bagpipe lesson, searched for the elusive Loch Ness Monster during a visit to the scenic Highlands and tried out his golf swing on the grounds of Skibo Castle - one of the most exclusive clubs in all of Scotland. Bryan Clay, 2008 Olympic decathlon champion Clay tested his status and versatility as the world's greatest athlete by trying his hand at the caber toss and stone put at the traditional Invercharron Highland Games in Inverness, Scotland; learned the history of the world-famous kilt, and even tried one on for the day; enjoyed traditional British afternoon tea aboard the Royal Yacht Brittania; and participated in one of his favorite hobbies - trout fishing. Allison Jones, 2008 Paralympic cycling silver medalist and 2006 Paralympic skiing champion Jones, a history buff, was guided around the Tower of London by the facility's Chief Yeoman Warder, got a behind the scenes tour of Parliament from Foreign Office Minister Alistair Burt and was even invited into 10 Downing St., home of Britain's Prime Minister David Cameron. She also experienced 'punting' down the River Cam in Cambridge, , tested her acting skills at the iconic Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-Upon-Avon and visited the newly completed velodrome where she hopes to race at the 2012 Paralympic Games. Nastia Liukin, 2008 Olympic gymnastics champion Liukin experienced a personal tour of Buckingham Palace, including an up-close-and-personal look at Duchess Catherine's wedding gown, and was privileged to exit through the front gates in front of thousands of visitors. She visited the 2012 Olympic gymnastics venue, the O2 Arena; learned Cockney rhyming slang in a London black cab; visited the famous Centre Court at Wimbledon; and showed off her skills in front of Big Ben and the world famous London Eye. Heather Mitts, 2008 and 2004 Olympic soccer champion Mitts juggled a soccer ball and displayed her foot skills in the shadows of Stonehenge, experienced a thermae spa in the ancient Roman city of Bath, took a horseback riding lesson at Coworth Park, enjoyed her first-ever sailing lesson in Weymouth, the venue for the 2012 Olympic Games, and played royal tennis on the same court as King Henry VIII at Hampton Court Palace - also home to the London 2012 cycling time trials. Rebecca Soni, 2008 Olympic swimming champion Along with giving an inspirational chat to young people at the University of East London, Soni combined her love for the water with the charms of Wales, first by trying coasteering - a combination of canyoning, adventure swimming and cliff jumping - then with a coastal hike, a rugby lesson at Millenium Stadium - home to 11 soccer matches during the 2012 Games, and visits to Cardiff Castle and Tintern Abbey.
