Ware, Burroughs, Dlagnev receive freestyle draws for final day of World Wrestling Championships

ISTANBUL, Turkey – The final three U.S. men’s freestyle wrestlers have weighed in and received their draws for the final day of the World Wrestling Championships in Sinan Erdem Dome on Sunday.
2009 World bronze medalist Tervel Dlagnev (Columbus, Ohio/Sunkist Kids) opens against Aiaal Lazarev of Kyrgyzstan. It will be Dlagnev’s second appearance at the World Championships.
Lazarev was third in the 2010 Asian Championships. Dlagnev won two Div. II national titles for Nebraska-Kearney.
Competing in his first World Championships at 66 kg/145.5 lbs. is Teyon Ware (State College, Pa./Nittany Lion WC). He will compete against Andriy Stadnik of Ukraine in his first match.
Stadnik was a 2008 Olympic silver medalist and 2006 World bronze medal. Ware was a two-time NCAA champion for Oklahoma.
Jordan Burroughs (Lincoln, Neb./Sunkist Kids) faces Dmytro Rochniak of Ukraine in his opening bout at 74 kg/163 lbs.
Rochniak was a 2005 European Cadet champion.
Burroughs won his second NCAA title this year for Nebraska and won the Dan Hodge Trophy. He claimed titles at the U.S. Nationals and World Team Trials in his first season on the Senior level in freestyle.
