ISTANBUL, Turkey – The final U.S. Greco-Roman wrestler, and the first two U.S. women’s freestyle wrestlers have weighed in and received their draws for Wednesday’ competition at the World Wrestling Championships.

Competing in his first World Championships, Andy Bisek (Colorado Springs, Colo./Minnesota Storm) will open against Alexsandr Kazakevic of Lithuania at 74 kg/163 lbs. Kazakevic competed in the 2008 Olympic Games. His best World level finish came with an eighth place in the 2006 World Championships.

Bisek was named as a replacement in this weight class just a week ago when the American entry Jake Fisher injured his foot in training and could not compete.

The other six Greco-Roman weight classes were contested Monday and Tuesday. When the 74 kg/163 lbs. division is completed on Wednesday, Greco-Roman will be finished for this year.

The first two women’s freestyle weight classes will be contested on Wednesday.

2008 World champion Clarissa Chun (Colorado Springs, Colo./Sunkist Kids) will face Poland’s Iwona Matkowska in the first match at 48 kg/105.5 lbs. Matkowska was fifth in the 2010 World Championships and was third in the European Championships the last two years.

It will be the second straight year an American wrestler will face Matkowska in the opening round at the World Championships. In 2010, Matkowska defeated U.S. entry Alyssa Lampe in the first round by pin.

Chun was fifth in the 2008 Olympic Games. She is competing in her third Senior World Championships.

Whitney Conder (Colorado Springs, Colo./Gator WC) will be competing in her first Senior World Championships at 51 kg/112.25 lbs. Conder will wrestle Estera Dobre of Romania in the first round.

Dobre was second in the 2011 European Championships, and was 10th in the 2008 Olympic Games. 

Conder was a 2008 Junior World champion.
