FARGO, N.D. – Emily Webster made it look easy.

The talented 97-pounder from Missouri wasted no time in chasing down her third Junior Nationals women’s freestyle title as she rolled to an 8-0, 7-0 finals win over Colorado’s Cody Pfau.

The Oklahoma City recruit was dominant in winning the title over Pfau, a Cadet Nationals champion.

“It’s awesome,” Webster said of winning her third title in Fargo. “I never, ever would’ve expected it. It’s an amazing thing. When I was a freshman I looked at the girls here, the three-timers and four-timers like Tatiana Padilla, and I was like wow, those girls are amazing. I never thought I could get three.”

Webster and Michigan’s Julia Salata won their third Junior Nationals titles on Tuesday. Salata recorded a second-period fall over Wisconsin’s Michelle Organ in the 159 finals.

California’s Amanda Hendey, a 2011 U.S. Senior Open runner-up, recorded a first-period pin over two-time Junior Nationals champion Brieana Delgado of South Carolina in the 130 finals. Hendey was named Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament.

Hendey pinned her way through the tournament. She placed fourth in this event last year.

“She had beaten me before,” Hendey said. “She’s a tough wrestler – really tough. I’ve gained some confidence this year and wrestled well in some big tournaments. That’s really helped me.”

California won the team title with Texas finishing second and Hawaii third.

Haley Augello of Illinois repeated as champion after downing Alaska’s Hope Steffensen 3-0, 3-0 in the 105 finals.

Krista Revelle of Kansas repeated as champion by defeating New York’s Mary Westman 2-0, 3-0 in the 148 finals.

Pennsylvania’s Kim Spiegel repeated as champion after winning in a round-robin format at 172.

Miriam Moreno of Texas repeated as champion by sweeping Cadet Nationals champion Kierra Boyce of Texas 4-1, 6-0 in the 198 finals.

Hawaii’s Bree Rapoza capped a great run in Fargo by winning the title at 117. She was named Outstanding Wrestler after winning the Cadet Nationals title on Saturday. Rapoza beat Lilly DeAragon of Idaho 7-1, 5-2 in the Junior finals on Tuesday.

New York’s Rosemarie Flores also completed a Fargo double after winning by injury default over California’s Tianna Camous in the 125 finals. Flores won Cadet Nationals three days ago.

California’s Alex Gomez won the 112 title with a 2-1, 4-0 win over Indiana’s Kayla Miracle, who won Cadet Nationals on the first day of the event in Fargo.

Indiana’s Sarah Hildebrandt recorded a third-period fall over California’s Brazil Marquez in the 121 finals. Hildebrandt placed second in this event last year.

Washington’s Hannah Moon swept California’s Alyssa Wong 1-0, 2-0 in the 139 finals.

The Junior Nationals women’s duals are scheduled for Wednesday in Fargo. Competition begins at 9:30 a.m.
