FARGO, N.D. – Four champions will have a chance to repeat in the Junior Nationals Greco-Roman competition on Tuesday at the FargoDome

Returning champions Colton Howell of Missouri (112 pounds), Tyler Fraley of New Jersey (119), Rossi Bruno of Florida (125) and Devin Peterson of Wisconsin (189) have advanced to the finals.

The finals are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday in Fargo.

2011 Junior Folkstyle Nationals champions Nkosi Moody of Illinois (98) and Alex Meyer of Iowa (160) have also reached the Junior Greco finals. Moody and Meyer remain alive to win USA Wrestling Junior Triple Crowns. They would need to win Greco and freestyle titles this week to complete the rare triple.

Wisconsin’s Alex Dieringer (152), an Oklahoma State recruit, also reached the finals. Dieringer placed third in Greco here last year before winning a Junior freestyle championship.

Illinois’ Jahwon Akui (171), a past Cadet Nationals double champion, reached the finals. Akui pulled out a tough three-period win over past Cadet Nationals double champion Jordan Rogers of Washington en route to the finals.

Colorado’s Connor Medbery, a Wisconsin recruit, reached the finals at 285. Medbery is a past Cadet Nationals champion.

Juniors feature the nation’s top 16-18 year olds.
