Alex Dieringer (Port Washington, Wis./Team Wisconsin) has been named TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week for June 21-27.

Each week, TheMat.com will select an Athlete of the Week, based upon performance within wrestling for that week. The selection committee will consider any level of wrestling, from youth programs through the Senior level.

Dieringer went a combined 14-0 in Greco-Roman and freestyle competition at 152 pounds during the Junior National Duals this past weekend in Oklahoma City.

Dieringer went 7-0 in Greco-Roman and 7-0 in freestyle, making the all-tournament team in both styles. Wisconsin placed second at the Junior Duals in Greco-Roman and fifth in freestyle.

Dieringer, an Oklahoma State recruit, has won USA Wrestling Junior Nationals titles in freestyle and folkstyle.
