FLASH: USA to face Turkey for fifth place at Junior Freestyle World Cup in Germany

PLAUEN, Germany – The United States won its second round match over Japan 5-3, then fell to Azerbaijan, 6-2, in the Saturday morning session at the FILA Junior World Cup.

With a first-round loss to Georgia, the USA record stands at 1-2 in Pool B competition.

The United States will battle Turkey in the fifth-place match on Saturday night.

Russia will face Azerbaijan for first. Iran will battle Georgia for third. Germany and Japan will wrestle for seventh.

After three rounds, Bobby Telford (Iowa City, Iowa/Iowa) has a 3-0 record at 120 kg/264.5 lbs.
