U.S. draw for pool competition set for FILA Junior World Cup in Germany

PLAUEN, Germany – The draw has been set for Team USA on the first day of the FILA Junior World Cup, which begins Friday night.
The United States was drawn into Pool B, where they will compete against Georgia in the first round, Japan in the second round and Azerbaijan in the third round.
Teams in Pool A include Germany, Iran, Russia and Turkey.
The first round will be held Friday night, with the second and third rounds on Saturday morning. The championship finals are set for Saturday evening.
Included on the team are five 2011 FILA Junior National champions:
• Nick Roberts, Hooversville, Pa. (Young Guns) at 50 kg/110 lbs.
• Tony Ramos, Iowa City, Iowa (Iowa) at 60 kg/132 lbs.
• Josh Kindig, Stillwater, Okla. (Cowboy WC) at 66 kg/145.5 lbs.
• Taylor Massa, St. Johns, Mich. (Massa’s Maniacs) at 74 kg/163 lbs.
• Bobby Telford, Iowa City, Iowa (Iowa) at 120 kg/264.5 lbs.
This is the first year that FILA has sponsored a Junior World Cup in freestyle.
