USA Wrestling is offering Women’s Wrestling All-National Camps during the month of June. These camps are open to young women who wish to improve their wrestling skills.

Each camp will be led by two members of the United States Women’s National Team. The goal is to expose and inform athletes of the opportunities that USA Wrestling has to offer, as well as allow the wrestlers to meet and learn from national team athletes.

The camps are strategically placed in different regions around the country, in an effort to offer an opportunity for the most athletes to attend. The camps will be held at:
• Menlo College in Atherton, Calif. from June 15-17
• Lock Haven University in Lock Haven, Penn. June 16-18
• Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, Texas, June 16-18
• Kenosha Bradford High School in Kenosha, Wis., June 16-18.
The camp in Kenosha is a commuter camp only.

The camps cost $250 for overnight stay while the commuter option is $150.

The four camps will have three sessions a day, each session including many different aspects of wrestling including new technique and mat strategies, nutritional advice, film study and mental preparation.

“It’s the first year we’ve held this camp series. We’re excited to see what happens,” said National Women’s team coach Terry Stiener.

Half of the money raised from the camps will go to the local hosts. The other half will help fund FILA Junior and FILA Cadet national women’s programs.

The deadline to sign up for the camps is May 15. Spots are filling up quickly so sign up today.
