USA Wrestling’s Folkstyle Tour of America concluded this past weekend with the Dominate in the Dells event in Wisconsin. Over 800 wrestlers from 17 states participated, an increase of over 200 athletes from last year.

Cameron Hunsaker of Mettle Wrestling Club in Utah, Schoolboy 70 pounds, won all four Tour of America tournaments this year. 

Jose Acosta of X-Factor Elite in Wisconsin, a Novice at 80 pounds, won three Tour of America event titles this year.

2010 Triple Crown winner Beau Breske of Ringers Wrestling Club in Wisconsin defeated Georgia Grind champion Brandon Fleischman in the Schoolboy 128 pounds finals this past weekend.

2010 Junior Folkstyle National Champion Nick Harrison of Team Overtime in Illinois won the Dominate in the Dells at 119 pounds beating Quinn Miracle of Victory/CF in Wisconsin.

Zak Benitz of Wisconsin, 2010 Junior Folkstyle Nationals eighth place and Junior Greco All-American beat the 2010 Cadet Folkstyle Nationals Champion and Cadet Freestyle All-American Jack Dechow of Illinois in finals at 171 lbs. Benitz won 2-1.

The Folkstyle Tour of America saw explosive growth this year. With the addition of one more event and record entries at the other three events, total participation almost doubled to 2,485 wrestlers this year.

The event is included in the Ultimate Challenge series and scores points in the USA Wrestling Future Olympian Rankings.

This is the last big event prior to the USA Wrestling Folkstyle Nationals in Cedar Falls, Iowa, April 1-3.
