KEARNEY, Neb. – World bronze medalist Tervel Dlagnev is back in the place where he won his first national championship.

Dlagnev won his first of two NCAA Division II titles for the University of Nebraska at Kearney in his home arena in 2007.

He has gone on to excel internationally, placing third in the World in freestyle wrestling in 2009. He finished second behind Les Sigman at the 2010 U.S. World Team Trials. Sigman won four NCAA Division II titles for Nebraska-Omaha.

Dlagnev has wrestled well internationally this season and will compete in the U.S. Open next month in Cleveland.

Dlagnev is back cheering on wrestlers from his alma mater and will serve as an awards presenter on Saturday night.
