Gray wins gold medal on final day of Dan Kolov International in Bulgaria

BURGAS, Bulgaria - Adeline Gray (Colorado Springs, Colo./New York AC) won a gold medal at 67 kg/147.5 lbs. on the final day of the Dan Kolov International on Sunday.

Gray won all three of her matches in a four-athlete roundrobin, including a pin of runner-up Ralitsa Ivanova of Bulgaria in her final match.

Gray was fifth in the 2009 World Championships and a 2008 Junior World champion. It was her first competition after missing a year due to injury.

Placing fifth at 48 kg/105.5 lbs. was two-time Junior World champion Victoria Anthony, (Huntington Beach, Calif./New York AC) at 48 kg/105.5 lbs. 

Anthony won her first match, then was defeated by eventual champion Burcu Kebic of Turkey, 6-8, 0-1. She fell in the bronze medal bout to Graziela Dragoeva of Bulgaria, 0-4, 0-3.

Two U.S. Greco-Roman wrestlers fell short of the medal rounds at the Nikola Petrov International on Sunday, Matt Holt (Colorado Springs, Colo.), and C.P. Schlatter (Minneapolis, Minn./Minnesota Storm), both at 66 kg/145.5 lbs.

The U.S. won eight medals during the three days of the competition.
