POSITION TITLE: Freestyle National Coach
POSITION IS: Full Time
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in the development and implementation of a four-year plan that will allow USA Wrestling to be the dominant team in the World Championships and Olympic Games. Set the annual schedule for competition and training of the National Team. Contribute in the development of coaches in the volunteer pool, state and club levels through personal contact and mass communication. Includes support of USA Wrestling Coaches' Education Program. Communicate with the elite athletes to direct their developmental plans. Other responsibilities as determined to promote goodwill of the organization. Travel several times per year, foreign and domestic.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree and knowledge of National Governing Bodies and United States Olympic Committee is preferred. Minimum 2 years-coaching experience with elite athletes is required. Physically able to demonstrate technique.
REPORTING AND LOCATION: This position reports to the National Teams Director. Offices located in Colorado Springs.
