Centenary wrestling team shovels out their Hackettstown community

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (January 14, 2011) – The day after the No. 11 Centenary wrestling team defeated No. 12 York (Pa.), 30-6, and No. 20 Elizabethtown, 25-13, the team continued its yearly practice of shoveling out residents and store owners in Hackettstown.
At 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday, the student-athletes split up into three groups with three coaches, and at 9:00 a.m., began shoveling the foot of snow that Hackettstown received.
The team was able to clean out 60 houses, including the driveways, and also made it down to Main Street to help out local store owners.
The No. 11 Centenary wrestling team will compete in its last tournament of the regular season with the Ursinus Homecoming Invitational, Saturday on the campus of Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pa. The event is slated to start at 9:30 a.m.
After Saturday’s tournament, Centenary returns to action with a home dual match against conference foe Delaware Valley on Saturday, Jan. 22, at 1:00 p.m.
