Over 300 wrestlers from eight states polished off their Thanksgiving turkeys and headed to the Hub Sports Center in Liberty Lake, Wash., last weekend for the inaugural Northwest Bigfoot Battle.

USA Wrestling’s National Events Director Pete Isais is very excited to have a high-quality nationally respected folkstyle event in the state of Washington.

“The upper northwest is becoming a real hotbed for folkstyle wrestling, and when you can pull from wrestling communities in Washington, Idaho, Oregon, and Montana, it just makes sense to host a Tour of America event in that area.”

Registration for the three remaining Folkstyle Tour of America events open for registration today, Wednesday, Dec. 1.

Wrestlers from across the nation can now register for the Salt Lake Slam in Utah, the Georgia Grind in Georgia, and the Dominate in the Dells in Wisconsin.

An exciting addition to the Tour of America this year is All-American Wrestling Supply’s Coaches Rewards Program. For every five registered wrestlers on a club/team at a given event, the coach will receive a $10 gift card to All-American Wrestling Supply to purchase official USA Wrestling merchandise. Clubs will also receive one complimentary floor pass for every five registered wrestlers. Coaches must have current USA Wrestling Coaches Membership in order to receive a gift card or floor pass. Visit www.usawmembership.com to renew membership.

Please be aware that USA Wrestling does not charge athletes to change weight classes after they register, even at weigh-ins. Wrestlers are encouraged to sign up early to guarantee their spot in these popular and growing tournaments.
