This week, Olympic and Paralympic athletes and hopefuls share their stories of how they became involved with their sports, the trials and struggles and what they are thankful for. The stories are part of the U.S. Olympic Committee's support of StoryCorps' 2010 National Day of Listening; an unofficial day of observance where Americans a day where Americans are encouraged to set aside time to record the stories of their families, friends, and local communities.
The 2010 National Day of Listening is this Friday.
Today, 2000 Olympic wrestling gold medalist and current Men's National Freestyle Wresling Coach Brandon Slay talks about his Olympic journey, the support it took to get him where he is and how he's thankful to be on this journey.
