This week, Olympic and Paralympic athletes and hopefuls share their stories of how they became involved with their sports, the trials and struggles and what they are thankful for. 

The stories are part of the U.S. Olympic Committee's support of StoryCorps' 2010 National Day of Listening; an unofficial day of observance where Americans a day where Americans are encouraged to set aside time to record the stories of their families, friends, and local communities.
