Schwab era to begin at Dan Gable Museum social

WATERLOO, Iowa – The Doug Schwab era at the University of Northern Iowa will officially begin with a breakfast social hosted by the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum. 

Schwab and his staff will be the guest speakers. Northern Iowa athletic director Troy Dannen and Jim Miller, current Wartburg head wrestling coach and former Northern Iowa All-American, will also provide remarks.

The social will take place at 8 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 19. The breakfast is free and open to the public.

Schwab, hired as Northern Iowa’s head wrestling coach on May 13, 2010, will coach in his first home meet the following day. Northern Iowa faces Old Dominion at the West Gym in a dual scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 20.

Assistant coaches at Northern Iowa are Mark Schwab, Randy Pugh, Tolly Thompson, and Joe Slaton.
