Upper Iowa University head wrestling coach Heath Grimm and Waldorf College head women’s wrestling coach Dustin Baynes will be radio show guests this week.
"On the Mat" is a presentation of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum and can be heard live on the Internet at www.kcnzam.com or locally in Northeast Iowa each Wednesday from 5:00 - 6:00 PM Central time on AM 1650, The Fan. Grimm is starting his 11th year as the head wrestling coach at Upper Iowa University and is coming off the Peacocks’ highest team finish in the NCAA tournament since they moved to Division II when they placed third last season. Grimm is a native of Osage, Iowa and was a two-time All-American at Luther College.
Baynes recently began his duties as the head women’s wrestling coach at Waldorf College in Forest City, Iowa. Waldorf College is the first school to offer women’s wrestling at the collegiate level in the state of Iowa. A native of Ohio, Baynes wrestled at Limestone College in South Carolina and at Cleveland State University, where he also served as a graduate assistant.
