World medalists Chun, Pirozhkova featured in three clinics in California, Nov. 10-13

2008 World champion Clarissa Chun and 2010 World silver medalist Elena Pirozhkova are among the featured clinicians in three wrestling clinics held this week in California from Nov. 10-13.
They will be joined by 2008 Olympian and Menlo College head women’s wrestling coach Marcie Van Dusen in these outstanding clinic opportunities. Also providing instruction is the Menlo College Women’s Wrestling Team members. These are known as the 2010 Clinic of Champions.
The first clinic will be at Andrew Hill High School in San Jose, Calif. on Wednesday, Nov. 10 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
The next clinic will be at Vintage High School in Napa, Calif. on Thursday, Nov. 11 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
The final clinic is set for Castro Valley High School in Castro Valley, Calif. on Saturday, Nov. 13, with sessions from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon, and from 12:45 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
The cost of each clinic is just $20 per participant, and includes a t-shirt. Teams with more than 20 wrestlers will pay just $15 each. Coaches are free.
This camp is designed for wrestlers at every experience level. Wrestlers will have the opportunity to learn wrestling skills for both freestyle and folkstyle. The skills will be taught by highly qualified wrestlers and coaches who have competed on both the Olympic and World level.
Chun was a 2008 World champion and placed fifth at the 2008 Olympic Games at 48 kg/105.5 lbs. She was also a member of the 2000 and 2009 U.S. World Teams.
Pirozhkova was second at the 2010 World Championships at 63 kg/138/75 lbs., and has competed on the last three U.S. Women’s World Teams. She is a two-time University World champion.
Van Dusen was ninth at the 2008 Olympic Games and was 10th in the 2007 World Championships at 55 kg/121 lbs. She was also a 2004 University World champion.
