40 regular-season duals plus Big Ten Championships to receive coverage

CHICAGO – The Big Ten Network will offer its most extensive wrestling schedule ever, with a total of 41 events on television or online, including the addition of 18 live streamed events over last year. The schedule features a minimum of 40 regular-season duals, plus the Big Ten Championships to be hosted by Northwestern University in March.

Thirty-three of the 41 events will be conference matchups, and 36 will be available live. The regular-season schedule begins Nov. 14 as Michigan hosts Pittsburgh. Other non-conference highlights include Iowa hosting Iowa State on Friday, Dec. 3, and future Big Ten member Nebraska traveling to Wisconsin on Friday, Jan. 21. The network will dedicate three live hours to the Big Ten Championships.

Last season, Iowa captured its third-straight national championship, and was one of eight Big Ten wrestling programs to finish in the top 25. The Hawkeyes were joined by No. 3 Ohio State, No. 5 Minnesota, No. 10 Penn State, No. 13 Indiana, No. 14 Wisconsin, No. 21 Purdue and No. 23 Illinois.

The Big Ten Network is available to approximately 75 million homes in the United States and Canada, and produces the most college wrestling of any network in the country.
