UPDATE: TheMat.com webcast has had a minor schedule change. All early round competition will start on Sunday at 9 a.m. Pacific Time with all finals starting in the second session at 3 p.m.
For the second straight year, USA Wrestling will provide wrestling fans a free online webcast of the Sunkist Kids International Open from Tempe, Ariz.
Action begins on Saturday, October 23 with women’s freestyle and men’s Greco-Roman competition. Two live feeds will be provided on day one, with one feed featuring the women’s freestyle action and the other focusing on Greco.
When the finals get underway, matches will be split with finals alternating on both feeds of each classification.
On Sunday, action will be exclusively men’s freestyle with two feeds following the action through the course of the competition.
Fans will have a chance to watch both feeds simultaneously and interact with Ustream.tv’s chat room.
USA Wrestling is partnering with Flowrestling again for the webcast. Mark Bader of Flowrestling will be providing interviews throughout the webcast including post-match interviews on Sunday along with supplementary coverage. Bader is a former wrestler at the University of Missouri and will provide wrestling insight on the webcasts as well.
The semifinals and finals of each day will have added live commentary by USA Wrestling’s Jason Bryant along with guests throughout. Fans can watch on TheMat.com’s Sunkist Webcast page (link above) and on Flowrestling.org.
Wrestling begins at 9 a.m. Pacific Time each day, with the semifinal rounds starting each day at 3 p.m. with finals following.
