WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue wrestling team received word that it will be featured twice on the Big Ten Network this season as matches against the University of Missouri and archrival Indiana University have been announced for the season television lineup. The Boilermakers’ bout with Missouri will air live at noon, Dec. 12, while the contest with the Hoosiers on Feb. 18 will air via tape delay.

“Our squad is always excited about our opportunities to represent Purdue on the big stage, and our Big Ten Network appearances are no exception,” said Purdue fourth-year head coach Scott Hinkel. “These are two of the biggest matches on our schedule and the chance to be on national television will only get us more amped up.”

The Dec. 12 contest with Missouri pits a pair of top-15 programs against each other and represents a clash between the two powerhouse wrestling conferences in the Big Ten and Big 12. Purdue heads into the year ranked as high as 13th in the nation, while the Tigers have been tabbed as high as 10th in the various polls. Purdue will look to defends its home turf and make it two in a row against Missouri, while the Tigers hope to avenge last season’s 19-15 loss in Columbia, Mo.

The Boilermakers will host Indiana at 7 p.m. in Holloway Gymnasium, closing out their regular season and Big Ten Dual schedule. In addition to the annual Crimson and Gold Cup point being at stake, Purdue looks to snap a two-match slide to the Hoosiers and head to the Big Ten Championships on a high note. Indiana enters the year unranked in the majority of the polls, settling for a No. 27 nod from WrestlingReport.com. The match will air the following day, Saturday, Feb. 19, at noon.
