University of Northern Colorado head wrestling coach Jack Maughan has announced his 2001 recruiting class.  Listed below are UNC's signees, along with bio information.         Cole Allison  157/165 pounds  Cortez, Colo. (Montezuma-Cortez H.S.)       Allison recently completed his senior season at Montezuma-Cortez High   School. As a junior, he went 41-0 and claimed the state title at 160 pounds. His overall high school record stands at 97-16. In 1999, Allison placed seventh in the nation in freestyle wrestling, earning Cadet All-American honors in the process. His father, Mike, was a two-time NAIA national champion at Adams State. Allison carries a 4.0 grade point average and is ranked no. 1 in his class of 199.         Jared Deaguero  149/157 pounds  Commerce City, Colo. (Adams City H.S.)   Deaguero completed his senior season at Adams City High School. He posted a 36-0 mark as a junior, winning the state title at 145 pounds. Deaguero placed fifth at state as a sophomore and third as a freshman. He is an eight-time Colorado state freestyle champion and a two-time Colorado state Greco champion. Deaguero is the younger brother of UNC three-time All-American T.J. Deaguero and the cousin of UNC four-time All-American and 1999 national champion Scott Hewit. He currently has a 3.6 grade point average and is a member of the National Honor Society.        Tyler Haner  125 pounds  Johnstown, Colo. (Roosevelt H.S.)   Haner attended Roosevelt High School in Johnstown, Colo., where he was a state champion last winter. Haner was a four-time regional champion and two-time state finisher. The Greeley, Colo., native finished as the state runner-up as a junior. He completed his high school career with a record of 130 wins against only 19 losses. His 130 wins are the most-ever at Roosevelt High School. Haner was selected to the Rocky Mountain News 2001 All-Colorado Wrestling squad. He also earned Co-Athlete of the Year honors by the Greeley Tribune this season. During his senior season he captured first place in the Top of the Rockies Tournament, while also earning all-conference honors for the third successive year.          Dusty Hoffschneider  Heavyweight  Littleton, Colo. (Columbine H.S.)   Hoffschneider was a three-time state champion at Columbine High School.  He also excelled on the football field, where he was twice named Colorado Defensive Player of the Year by the Rocky Mountain News and the Denver Post. A three-time all-state and all-conference selection, he helped Columbine to back-to-back state championships (class 5A) in 1999 and 2000.  He was recently featured in Sports Illustrated's Faces in the Crowd.  Hoffschneider will participate in both football and wrestling at UNC.        Tanner Linsacum  174/184 pounds  Phoenix, Ariz. (Thunderbird H.S.)   Linsacum prepped at Thunderbird High School in Phoenix, where he was a four-year varsity letterwinner on the wrestling mat. He was a two-time state champion at 171 pounds as a junior and senior and posted runnerup finishes as a freshman and sophomore. This past year, he was named Outstanding Wrestling at the Arizona 4A State Tournament. In fact, Linsacum earned the outstanding wrestler award at all five tournaments he participated in as a senior. His final career record at Thunderbird was an impressive 152-9. A three-sport athlete, Linsacum also earned three varsity football letters and three varsity baseball letters. No slouch in the classroom, he carried a cumulative 3.93 grade point average.          Sam Vigil  125 pounds  Commerce City, Colo. (Adams City H.S.)   Vigil also has a storied career in the Freestyle and Greco-Roman ranks. He was a Junior National Freestyle champion and finished 4th at the Junior National Greco-Roman nationals in 2000, while earning All-America honors in both. Vigil, an Adams City, Colo., native was runner-up at the Southern Junior Regional Freestyle championships and finished 4th at the Southern Junior Regional Greco-Roman nationals in 2000. Vigil is a six-time state of Colorado Freestyle champion.
