VANCOUVER, BC (September 15, 2010)  - Canada will be welcoming its first ever Real Amateur Wrestling radio talk show every Monday night  with its Inaugural weekly online radio show on September 20, 2010 (8pm Pacific) through www.BlogTalkRadio.com. The show will be on at 7pm Pacific for the second show and every show after that. 

A Canadian first, this online radio talk show podcast called “RAW Edge Radio” will focus on the athletes, issues, people and personalities of amateur wrestling. The first show to include two of the newest Jr. World Champions, Danielle Lepagge from Calgary and Victoria Anthony from USA as well as US All American Olympic Wrestling Team Alternate and UFC Hall of Famer, Dan Severn and the President of the Canadian Amateur Wrestling Association (CAWA), Clive Llewellyn. 

The weekly online radio show will be hosted by Greg Edgelow, a six–time Canadian Senior Wrestling champion, 1992 Canadian Olympian & 1994 Commonwealth Games Gold medalist. 

"With successes at the Jr. and Sr. World Championships in Moscow and high expectations for Wrestling at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi and the World Student Games in Torino, Italy, this is the perfect time to start this program," commented Greg Edgelow. 

Guests lined up for Sept 20, 8pm-9pm Pacific Standard Time (11pm-12am Central) show includes: 

· Danielle Leppage, 63kg Jr. World Wrestling Champion (From Calgary – Competing for SFU now) 

· Victoria Anthony, 48kg Jr. World Wrestling Champion (From USA – Competing for SFU now) 

· Clive Llewellyn, President, Canadian Amateur Wrestling Association (Calgary) 

· Dan Severn (1984 & 1988 US Olympic Wrestling Team Trials Hwt Finalist) & UFC Hall of Famer (USA) 

· Arjun Bhuller, Hwt Canadian Sr. Wrestling Champion (Richmond – competing for SFU) 

· Leigh Vierling, Canada’s World Champion Women’s Team Wrestling Coach (Calgary) 

The one hour weekly show will include ongoing and hot topics of the week that will be thought provoking, motivating, sometimes contentious and just interesting discussion.  As well, we will have a number of weekly guests such as Olympians, world medalists, sport specific specialists in nutrition, sport psychology, training and techniques, as well as club & program coaches, all sharing their knowledge, advice and stories. 

“Sharing the tremendous value and impact of wrestling from the grassroots to elite level using this medium will be a huge boost to our sport, commented Clive Llewellyn, CAWA President. “The result could help create more cohesiveness, success and strength of our programs across the country,” Llewellyn added.  

Each week will also feature a guest Co-Host who is a sport, business, radio or TV personality. The first Co-Host will be Mike Roselli, a past Canadian Espoire Heavyweight Wrestling Champion, former pro-wrestler & current stuntman for Paramount Pictures.
