In the midst of scheduling for the upcoming season, I spoke with the SSVT AD and he indicated they may not have a program this coming year. He indicated they needed to raise $8K to save it. I replied by asking if we were able to raise 4K if they could match it. He said that seemed reasonable. If 400 coaches/people all send $10 we can raise half of the money needed to save the SSVT High School Program.

If you are interested in contributing, let me know. Ten dollars is pennies - the statement we will make as a group is HUMONGOUS! Send this to all your wrestling contacts. We can all mail $10 checks on the same day (Tuesday, September 21). These are the donations that were offered yesterday on Day 1 and Today on Day 2 of this effort. Please consider jumping in to help out. Every little bit adds up when there are 400+ involved. We are almost 1/4 of the way there.

Pass this information on to all your contacts. Isn't it like the wrestling community to approach something just because it's a challenge? Remember - checks will not be cashed unless the program is saved!

Massachusetts USA Wrestling wants to see our programs stay in tact. 

The crazy thing is that the wrestling community is really this tight. It's great that we will come together to keep this program on the map. It certainly makes a statement. Maybe next year we can rally to add programs.
