USA Wrestling and the Beat the Streets, Inc. in New York City have teamed up to provide one of the largest groups ever assembled for a National Coaches Education Program (NCEP) Silver College.
About 80 coaches are expected to participate in the four-day clinic held at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, N.Y. from August 29 – Sept. 1. Of the 80 coaches in the program, 50 will be from the Beat the Streets organization.
“I am very excited to participate in this record-breaking event,†said NCEP Manager Cody Bickley. “We have assembled a top-notch list of presenters and the coaches in attendance are going to walk away with a vast array of knowledge which they can integrate into their programs. Brian Giffin and his staff have been tremendous in helping coordinate the logistics of this event. We want to make sure that these coaches have a positive experience from the time they step onto the OTC campus until the time they leave.â€
Among the instructors are Olympic champion Jeff Blatnick and World champion Les Gutches, National Teams Director Mitch Hull, NCAA All-American Tony Black, plus Mike Clayton, Anthony Servidone, Mark Hull and John Welch.
