Miller Named Maryland Wrestling Assistant Coach Former Terp All-American elevated to full-time position. COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland wrestling head coach John McHugh has announced the hiring of Tom Miller (Maryland `92) as an assistant coach for the Terrapins. Miller continues at his alma mater where he served as a volunteer assistant coach for the last four years. "It's nice to have Tom joining us on a full-time basis," said McHugh, who finished his 23rd season at Maryland this spring. "Tom's very familiar with our program and has a great wrestling background. He's knows the Pennsylvania area well, where he was a star in high school. He was also an All-American at Maryland so he knows the great wrestling tradition that has been built." Miller graduated from Maryland in 1992 with the double major in business/marketing and transportation. He was a two-time ACC champion at 142 pounds and an All-American in his senior season of 1992, when he placed third nationally. He finished his career with 98 victories.
