Two of USA Wrestling’s most popular educational opportunities, the Gold Medal Camp and the NCEP Silver Coaches College, will be held in Council Bluffs, Iowa alongside the World Team Trials event in June.

Participants can now sign up and pay the tuition cost for these activities online, making it easier to get involved.

The Gold Medal Training Camp has been set for June 10-12 at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa. The camp is available to talented wrestlers in grades 7-12 who seek to learn from top college coaching staffs.

The cost of the camp is $150. Participants will receive four training opportunities with World Class coaches, a USA Wrestling t-shirt, and a general admission ticket to the World Team Trials.

This camp will consist training sessions led by:
• University of Nebraska Coaching Staff - Mark Manning
• United States Air Force Academy Coaching Staff - Joel Sharratt, Sam Barber
• University of Maryland Head Coach - Kerry McCoy
• Cornell College/Hawkeye Wrestling Club Coaching Staff - Mike Duroe 

The camp requirements include: current USA Wrestling member; Grades 7-12; Must have been a minimum of a High School State Qualifier; Limited to the top 60 wrestlers who pre-register prior to May 31

The NCEP Silver Level Coaches College will be held in Council Bluffs, Iowa from Tuesday, June 8 through Thursday, June 10. This is a requirement for coaches wanting to achieve Silver Certification. Coaches from across the country will learn the latest innovations or coaching the sport of wrestling. 

The Silver College will include on-the-mat instruction from U.S. World Team and National Team coaches. There will also be sessions focusing on several aspects of wrestling, which include philosophies both on and off the mat in building future champions.

All participants will receive a ticket for all sessions of the 2010 USA Wrestling World Team Trials, June 11-12.  Coaches will witness the best wrestlers in the United States compete for the right to wrestle in the 2010 World Championships.

All Silver College participants will receive credit towards Silver Certification, and a free USA Wrestling shirt. The cost of the Silver College is $350. Coaches must register by May 31st, 2010.
