KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Sara Hildebrandt was named Outstanding Wrestler at the Body Bar Women’s FILA Cadet National Championships on Saturday. FILA Cadets are athletes who are 15-17 years old.

Hildebrandt won the 52 kg / 114.5 lbs. division, defeating Kayla Brendlinger of Pennsylvania in the finals, 2-0, 1-0, The weight class was very competitive, as returning champion Sophie Hertz of Coronado/RoughHouse won the bronze medal.

Two wrestlers claimed FILA Cadet National titles for the second straight year, Alex Gomez of Elite Force at 46 kg/101.25 lbs. and Krista Revelle of the Kansas Crusaders at 65 kg/143 lbs.

Gomez pinned Allene Somera of Hawaii in the second period of the gold-medal match, 7-0, 1:30. Revelle scored a solid 4-0, 5-0 win over Kasey Kruczek of WOW in the finals.

In a very competitive best-of-three series, Jasmine Yanez of the Gilroy Hawks defeated Hanna Grisewood of Warsaw Wrestling at 49 kg/108 pounds. Grisewood won the first match by pin in the second period. In the second match, Yanez won 3-1, 0-1, 1-0. The deciding third match went all three periods, with Yanez triumphing by a 0-1, 3-2, 1-0 margin.

Other individual champions were Patricia Martin of TCSF at 43 kg/94.5 lbs., Brazel Marquez of the California Grapplers at 56 kg/123.25 lbs., Aleah LaFrancis of the No Mercy School of Wrestling at 60 kg / 132.25 lbs., Kim Spiegel of Team Pennsylvania at 70 kg/154.25 lbs. and Jessica McCoy of Strong & Courageous at 78 kg / 170 lbs.
