The United States defeated Russia 21-9 to clinch the team title at the 2001 World Cup of Freestyle Wrestling in Baltimore, Md., May 6.    Teague Moore (Pittsburgh, Pa./Sunkist Kids) lost the first bout at 119 pounds when he was pinned by Alexandre Kontoev at 2:15.    At 127.75 pounds, Kerry Boumans (Colorado Springs, Colo./Dave Schultz WC) decisioned Murat Ramazanov, 3-0, to clinch his first World Cup individual championship. Ramazanov was Eighth in the 2000 Olympic Games.    2000 Olympic team member Cary Kolat (Morgantown, W. Va./Dave Schultz WC) decisioned Miron Dzadzaev 10-2. Dzadzaev was sixth in 1999 World Championships.    At 152 pounds,  Chris Bono (Gilbert, Iowa/Sunkist Kids) won by an injury default with thirty seconds to go in the first period.     Joe Williams (Iowa City, Iowa/Sunkist Kids) decisioned Ruslan Kokaev of Russia, 6-0, at 167.5 pounds to win his second straight World Cup title.     2000 Olympian Charles Burton (Bloomington, Ind./NYAC) decisioned Khadjimourat Gatsalov, 3-2, to claim more team points for the U.S. at 187.25 pounds.     Dominic Black (Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Army) lost a 5-3 decision to Taimouraz Tigiev at 213.75 pounds.    2000 Olympian Kerry McCoy (Bethlehem, Pa./NYAC) won his third straight World Cup title with a victory over Nikolai Telegin. McCoy was ahead 9-0 late in the second period when Telegin was given his third caution and a disqualification.
