ASICS and USA Wrestling to partner on Big Ten Network’s final six college wrestling shows

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - USA Wrestling, in partnership with ASICS America, announces a media partnership with the Big Ten Network for the final six of its 2010 college wrestling telecasts. This will impact the broadcast of five Big Ten college wrestling dual meets as well as the Big Ten Wrestling Championships.
As part of the agreement, two major USA Wrestling events will be promoted on the Big Ten Network college wrestling broadcasts, the 2010 U.S. Open Championships in Cleveland, Ohio and the 2010 U.S. World Team Trials in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
The media plan includes commercial spots, on-air mentions, as well as a special feature entitled The ASICS Super Set Up of the Meet.
The U.S. Open Wrestling Championships will be held at the Wolstein Center at Cleveland State University on April 21-24, and the U.S. World Team Trials will be held at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs, June 11-12.
This is the second year that USA Wrestling and the Big Ten Network have worked together to expose college wrestling fans to major USA Wrestling events.
"It is imperative that the wrestling community is completely aware of the significance of these two major USA Wrestling events," said USA Wrestling Development Director Larry Nugent. "We believe the people watching the Big Ten Network are among the most knowledgeable wrestling fans and we must reach them. This is just another example of how ASICS gives back to strengthen our sport on every level!"
The media partnership schedule includes the following events on the Big Ten Network:
Michigan State at Penn State on Friday, February 12 with Same Day Delay at 11:00 pm
Iowa at Minnesota on Sunday, February 14, LIVE at 7:00 pm
Ohio State at Iowa on Friday, February 19 with Same Day Delay at 11:00 p.m,
Michigan at Northwestern on Sunday, February 21 LIVE at 7:00 p.m.
Iowa at Wisconsin on Sunday, February 21 with Same Day Delay at 11:00 p.m.
Big Ten Championships on Sunday, March 7, LIVE at 2:00 p.m.
