TheMat.com will provide a live webcast from the championship finals of the 10th annual Front Range Orthopaedics 2010 Colorado Springs Metro Wrestling Championships on Saturday, January 23 at 6:30 p.m. Mountain Time.
Most of the high school wrestling teams in the Colorado Springs area will enter this showcase tournament, with 26 teams pre-registered. It will be held at Doherty High School.
A decade ago, the USA Wrestling national staff created this tournament as a public service to their local community. USA Wrestling staff handle all of the tournament planning and operations, and work to promote the event locally. Great pride is taken to provide the high school athletes and their families with a high quality event production.
TheMat.com is the official website of USA Wrestling and the nation's most popular wrestling website. It can be located at

Numerous talented athletes have won this tournament. The most successful past champion was 2005 Colorado Springs Metro champion Henry Cejudo of Coronado, who won a gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. A number of state champions and state placewinners have competed in this tournament, and many have gone on to compete in college.
To honor its 10th anniversary, a parade of past Colorado Springs Metro Champions will be held prior to the Championship finals.
USA Wrestling is honored to give back to the local wrestling community where its national headquarters are located.
All wrestling fans are encouraged to watch the finals of the Colorado Springs Metro Wrestling Championships live on Saturday, January 23 at 6:30 p.m. Mountain Time.
