AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State Cyclones have a new-look coaching staff.

Olympic gold medalist and two-time World champion Kevin Jackson has taken over the ISU program after Olympic gold medalist and four-time Cyclone NCAA champion Cael Sanderson left for Penn State.

Jackson has brought in past Iowa State NCAA champion and World Team member Chris Bono as his top assistant coach.

Jackson inherits a very strong team as Iowa State opens this season ranked No. 2 nationally behind two-time returning team champion Iowa.

Jackson, assistant coach Chris Bono and NCAA champion Jake Varner talked about the upcoming season prior to practice on Monday afternoon at the ISU wrestling room at the Lied Recreation Center.
