IOWA CITY, IA -- The University of Iowa wrestling program has signed eight student-athletes to national letters of intent. The eight signees, announced today by Head Coach Jim Zalesky, are Steve Mocco, from North Bergen, NJ; Cole Pape, from Maquoketa, IA; Blake Anderson, of Council Bluffs, IA; Paul Bradley, from Tama, IA; Trent Goodale, of Osage, IA; Adam Fellers, from Fort Dodge, IA; Joe Johnston, of Prairie Village, KS; and Ty Eustice, from Blue Earth, MN.    Mocco is a four-time prep national champion and a two-time Junior National Champion at heavyweight. He won the 2001 National High School Championship title for seniors, and posted a 212-1 career record with 188 pins for Blair Academy.     Pape was a three-time state champ for Maquoketa High School, going 40-0 at 152 pounds his senior year. He could compete at 157 or 165 pounds for the Hawkeyes.     Anderson, who is the son of former Iowa all-American Doug Anderson, was a two-time state champion for Lewis Central High School. He was undefeated at 47-0 his senior year at 160 pounds, and is expected to compete at 165 pounds.     Bradley was a state champion and two-time state runner-up for South Tama High School. The Cadet National Champion recorded a 38-1 mark his senior year at 171 pounds, and is expected to compete at 174 or 184.    Goodale was a three-time state champion for Osage High School. He posted a 39-0 record at 125 pounds as a senior, and is expected to wrestle at 125 or 133.    Fellers placed third at the state meet twice, posting a 39-1 mark his senior year at 160 pounds for Fort Dodge High School. He is expected to wrestle at 174 or 184.    Johnston was a two-time state champion for Shawnee Mission East High School at 152 pounds. He placed second at the 2001 National High School Championships for seniors, and is expected to compete at 149 or 157.    Eustice, whose older brother Luke is currently on the Iowa wrestling team, was a four-time state champion for Blue Earth High School. He posted a season mark of 46-0 as a senior at 145 pounds. He is expected to compete at 149.    "This is a good class because it fits our team needs, next year and for the future," said Zalesky. "This class will add a depth to our practice room that we haven't had lately. I'm looking for these eight guys to each bring their toughness into the room, which will help the entire team."
