CLINIC IN EVANSVILLE, WIS., JUNE 25-27, TO BENEFIT WRESTLER WHO LOST LEGS SERVING AS A U.S. MARINE IN AFGHANISTAN

The wrestling community in Wisconsin is coming together to support a brother wrestler who was injured in combat in Afghanistan.

Jake Janes, 23, wrestled at Evansville High School in Wisconsin, and joined the Marines after his career ended. On April 3, Janes stepped on an improvised explosive device while his unit was under attack, and he lost both of his legs, which were amputated below his knees.

Mitch Hull, USA Wrestling's National Teams Director and also wrestled for Evansville High School, along with Jake's high school coach Rob Kostroun, have brought together many of Hull's friends who were champions within wrestling to put on a benefit clinic for Jake Janes.

The Evansville Blue Devil Wrestling Camp will be held June 25-27, and is open to youth from kindergarten to 12th grade. 

The clinicians are amazing:
- Three-time World champion Lee Kemp, a three-time NCAA champion for Wisconsin
- 1984 Olympic silver medalist Barry Davis, the head coach for Wisconsin and a three-time NCAA champion for Iowa
- 1984 Olympic silver medalist Andy Rein, an NCAA champion for Wisconsin
- World silver medalist Jack Reinwand, an NCAA champion for Wisconsin
- U.S. Freestyle and Greco-Roman World Team member Mitch Hull, an NCAA All-American for Wisconsin.
- Several current varsity wrestlers for the Univ. of Wisconsin, who will assist with the instruction

For just $50, wrestlers can get three days of outstanding instruction from these great coaches. The proceeds from this camp will go to assist in the financial challenges facing Jake Janes during his medical recovery.
