VARNA, BULGARIA - Four U.S. wrestlers captured medals on the opening day of the Petro Sirakov and Ivan Illiev Junior International Tournament on Saturday.

Winning a gold medal at 50 kg/110 lbs. was Max Nowry of California, who defeated U.S. teammate Tyler Cox of Wyoming in the finals, 3-0, 4-0. Both U.S. wrestlers won two matches prior to reaching the gold-medal round.

Bronze medals were captured by Jimmy Chase of Illinois at 60 kg/132 lbs. and Ben Provisor of Wisconsin at 74 kg/163 lbs.

Chase beat Anton Dimitrov of Bulgaria, 4-3, 7-1 in the bronze medal match. Provisor defeated fellow American Aaron Briggs of Arizona in the bronze medal match, 1-0, 3-0.
