Ranked No. 9 in the nation, Humphrey earns his first career weekly laurel after an impressive 4-0 weekend at the Buffalo Open, winning the 133-pound division.  Humphrey recorded two pins in the event, one against Niagara's Kevin Green (5:50) and the other versus teammate Garrett Henry (3:28).   The junior was awarded a technical fall (25-10) over Mercyhurst's Michael Baxter and won the decision over host Buffalo's Kevin Smith (9-5) for the title.

Jake Fleckenstein, Purdue

Fleckenstein opened his collegiate career with four straight victories at the Eastern Michigan Open last Saturday, claiming the 133-pound championship.  In his first match, the freshman received the decision over Navy's Joey Boone (13-7) and then went on to top the Michigan duo of Michael Sears and Zac Stevens, 14-5, in a major decision and, 12-9, in a regular decision, respectively.  In the finals, the Guildford, Ind., native downed Pittsburgh's Eric Rosencrantz, 14-5, with a major decision, finishing the day with 21 total takedowns.  Fleckenstein earns his first career weekly honor.
