Grant Miller of Roscoe, Ill., the champion at 220.25 pounds, is the only athlete to repeat as champion at the 2001 FILA Cadet Greco-Roman Championships, held at Northwestern Univ. in Evanston, Ill. The competition features the best 15-17 year old wrestlers in the nation.    Miller scored a 15-4 technical fall in the finals over Gerard Habibian of St. George, Utah in the gold-medal match. Miller won the FILA Cadet Nationals Greco-Roman title last year at 187.25 pounds.    Miller was one of four 2000 Cadet National Greco-Roman champions (ages 15-16) to claim FILA Cadet Greco-Roman titles this year. The three other Cadet National champions to win in Evanston were Gabriel Mooney of Greenbush, Minn. at 101.5 pounds, Chase Metcalf of Davison, Mich. at 127.75 pounds and Daniel Bedoy at Whiting, Ind. at 167.5 pounds.    2000 Junior National champion Willy Holst of Prescott, Wis. claimed the gold medal at 110 pounds, scoring a 13-1 technical fall over Kent Nathe of Sartell, Minn. in the finals    Zach Lamano of Layton, Utah was named Outstanding Wrestler, after claiming the title at 138.75 pounds. Lamano scored a 10-0 technical fall over Danny Cadwallader of Anaheim, Calif. in the championship finals.  Lamano scored two technical falls, a pin and a victory by default.    Other individual champions were Paul Donahoe of Goodrich, Mich. at 92.5 pounds, Chase Walker of Morgan, Utah at 119 pounds, Matt Pell of Luxemburg, Wis. at 152 pounds  and Pat Brownson of Rochelle, Ill. at 187.25 pounds.    It was a tough day for three returning FILA Cadet champions in Greco-Roman. Kevin Hunter of Orem, Utah placed third at 101.5 pounds, Joshua Wagner of Milton, Wis. placed second at 119 pounds and C.P. Schlatter of Westerville, Ohio placed third at 138.75 pounds, all after winning this event last year.    The tournament was held alongside the 2001 University Greco-Roman Nationals for men. The freestyle competition for University men, University women and FILA Cadet men will follow on March 30-April 1.
