The 2001 Kids Nationals Folkstyle Championships will be held at the Topeka Expocentre in Topeka, Kan., March 30-April 1. The best youth wrestlers in the national will be competing in the tournament.     The first of three events to get to the Kids Triple Crown will start in Topeka. The Kids Folkstyle Nationals is the first of three events for Kids to attempt to win the prestigious USAW Triple Crown Title.      Athletes must win the Kids Folkstyle Nationals, Kids Freestyle Nationals and the Kids Greco-Roman Nationals in order to receive a handsome award on the Midget, Novice or Schoolboy level. The age-group for the Midget group is those born in 1991-92, Novice born in 1989-90 and Schoolboy born in 1987-88.       Eleven wrestlers claimed the most prestigious award in Kids wrestling last year. In the Midget Division: David Taylor of Wyoming (60), Riley Adamson of New Mexico (65), Ryan Konrath of Indiana (87) and Atticus Disney of Kansas (120). In the Novice Division: Jonathan Reader of Michigan (90) and Mike May of Minnesota (140++). In the Schoolboy Division: Lance Palmer of Ohio (75), Brent Metcalf of Michigan (115), Brandon Mason of Iowa (130), Patrick Bond of Virginia (150) and Kyle Massey of Minnesota (160+).     Session times are Midget, Novice, Schoolboy/girl preliminaries, Saturday, March 31 at 9:00 a.m. until finished and Sunday, April 1 all age groups, preliminaries through finals at 8:00 a.m. until finished.
