Dear Coach:    We are beginning the process of selecting teams for the 2002 NWCA Dual Meet Championships at Ohio State University on January 19-20, 2002.   For your team to be considered for the 2002 championships please fill out the enclosed nomination form.    The 16-team field will consist of the NCAA Division II and III championship teams, the 2001 NAIA championship team, the top six teams from this year's NWCA National Dual Championship, and the seven teams that are selected by the five - member panel representing the NWCA.    Please fill out this form with your tentative lineup for next year as completely as possible.  A point system is set up to reward returning All-Americans, NCAA qualifiers, returning starters, and top recruits that have redshirted.  Any additional information you can provide to the selection committee is appreciated and assists in making the most informed decisions.    The top six teams from the past NWCA National Dual Championships are automatically invited.  However, some may turn down the offer and that would open up another spot for the at-large bids that currently go to the remaining top seven Division I teams.    This form should be faxed to me at 717-653-8270 by noon on April 2, 2001.  You will be informed of your team's status by April 9.
