CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - Wiconsin's Ty Pelot capped a superb weekend by capturing USA Wrestling's Ultimate Dominator Award as the ASICS Folkstyle Nationals concluded on Sunday.
Pelot also took home a gold medal by winning the Novice division at 60 pounds.
Pelot finished with 15,600 points to capture the Ultimate Dominator Award, which goes to the highest point scorer in USA Wrestling's popular Ultimate Challenge Series. The series is now in its sixth season.
The remaining Folkstyle National champions in the Kids classes - Bantam, Midget, Novice and Schoolboy - were crowned on Sunday. Champions in the Veterans class also were crowned on Sunday.
Pelot was the highest point scorer in Division 3 of the Ultimate Challenge Series. Past Ultimate Dominator winner Michael Johnson of Illinois was second with 11,200 points and Colby Meeks of Florida third with 7,700 points.
In Division 1, Max Darrah of Missouri was first with 8,800 points, Brayton Lee of Indiana was second with 7,600 points and Billy Pitzner of Wisconsin was third with 7,400 points.
In Division 2, Dylan Meeks of Florida was first with 8,800 points, Will Moss of Georgia was second with 8,600 points and Dylan Duncan of Illinois was third with 8,000 points.

The top-three individual point scorers in each age-group division were awarded an Ultimate Challenge Series Championship Belt. The belts were awarded to individuals based on their top-seven placement scores in the Ultimate Challenge Series.
The Ultimate Dominator was determined by the individual from any of the four age divisions who scores the most points. The Ultimate Dominator was determined using each individual's top-seven placement scores from USA Wrestling events.
