U.S. lineup set for World Dual meet against Belarus in Albuquerque, N.M., Feb. 12

Three U.S. men's freestyle wrestlers ranked number one in their respective weight classes will lead the U.S. team in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Tuesday, February 12.
The event will take place at Cibola High School at 6 p.m., in Albuquerque. The U.S. squad will be coached by USA Wrestling National Freestyle Resident Coach Terry Brands and USA Wrestling National Freestyle Developmental Coach Dave Bennett. Brands is a decorated international wrestler, with two individual world titles and an Olympic bronze medal.
The line-up for the event is:
- 55 kg/121 lbs. Henry Cejudo (USA) vs. Risvan Gadzhiev (Belarus)
- 60 kg/132 lbs. Angel Cejudo (USA) vs. Kamil Mahamedau (Belarus)
- 60 kg/132 lbs. Shawn Bunch (USA) vs. Aliaksandr Karnitski (Belarus)
- 66 kg/145.5 lbs. Bill Zadick (USA) vs. Albert Batyrov (Belarus)
- 74 kg/163 lbs. Ramico Blackmon (USA) vs. Aliaksandr Matyl (Belarus)
- 84 kg/185 lbs. Joe Williams (USA) vs. Ivan Yankouski (Belarus)
- 96 kg/211.5 lbs. Kyle Cerminera (USA) vs. Ruslan Sheikov (Belarus)
- 120 kg/264.5 lbs. Tommy Rowlands (USA) vs. Maksim Mikhalevich (Belarus)
Representing the U.S. are Henry Cejudo, Williams, and Rowlands, each of who are currently ranked No.1 nationally in their weight classes. Williams competed in the 2004 Olympic Games.
Cejudo was a gold medalist at the 2007 Pan American Games and a two-time U.S. Nationals champion. Williams is a two-time World bronze medalist and a seven-time U.S. Nationals champion. In 2007, Rowlands was a Pan American Games silver medalist and the U.S. Nationals champion.
The U.S. team will also feature 2006 World Champion Zadick.
The Belarus squad includes 2007 Senior World Championship bronze medalist Risvan Gadshiev and 2006
Senior World Championship bronze medalist Rouslan Sheikov.
The 55 kg will be especially competitive, featuring two of the premier wrestlers in the world.
Tickets for the event are $5 for the general public and $2 for youth, middle school and high school wrestlers, and can be purchased at the door.
